Wenglor Introduces LED Bar Lighting for Machine Vision

With the LBF High Power Bar Lighting system, Wenglor is introducing a new high-performance lighting solution for industrial machine vision. Across wide illumination widths, high-power LEDs and precisely tuned optics produce an intense yet homogeneous light pattern for surface inspection.
With Wenglor’s LBF high-power bar lighting, even very fine surface structures, the slightest deviations, and the tiniest defects become clearly visible. The completely uniform and shadow-free illumination ensures maximum contrast and consistent inspection results. This ensures that inspections remain consistently reproducible and reliable, even at high cycle times and under demanding environmental conditions. The LBF machine vision lighting system was specifically developed to reliably handle even the most demanding inspection tasks. According to the manufacturer, its innovative optics, various light types, and exceptional light output ensure stable image quality even at high cycle times. Thanks to precise synchronization with camera exposure and conveyor speed, it is particularly well-suited for scan tunnels, high-speed sorting, and dimensional inspections.
The most powerful high-power bar lighting in its class
With a light output of up to 2.5 million lux at a working distance of 200 mm and an ultra-fast rise time of less than 1 µs (800 ns), the LBF lighting is considered the world’s most powerful bar lighting in its class. Thanks to extremely short light pulses and a fast response time, motion blur during image capture is effectively prevented—ideal conditions for highly dynamic processes. At the same time, the bar lighting impresses with its low power consumption thanks to the integrated controller. T-slot mounting on three sides of the LED bar lighting enables quick and flexible integration into various machine vision applications. Mounting adapters and an extensive range of additional mounting accessories simplify installation and customization. Thanks to its compatibility with angle changers, the beam angle of the LBF bar lighting can be precisely adjusted, resulting in particularly homogeneous and uniform illumination across the entire field of view.
