VdL Industrial Coatings Division elects new board of directors

The VdL Industrial Coatings specialist group elected a new board at its fall meeting in 2025. Ludwig Haring is the new chairman and succeeds Frank Gläser, who has held this office since 2013.
The Industrial Coatings Section of the Association of the German Paint and Printing Ink Industry (VdL) had set itself a tight agenda for its autumn meeting in 2025: in addition to the usual regulatory topics, the economic situation and the status of the development of the association's EPD, the agenda also included tax law developments as part of the "Innovation Booster" and success factors in research and development.
Succession on the board of the VdL Industrial Coatings Division
Frank Gläser (Weilburger/Kansai Helios) has headed the specialist group since 2013 and is now stepping down as Chairman at the end of the year. However, he will remain with the group and the association and will continue to work intensively on the board and also on the VdL presidium. At the meeting in Frankfurt am Main, the group thanked Frank Gläser for his many years of commitment to the association. Deputy Chairman Ludwig Haring (Dr. Demuth Derisol Lackfarben) was elected as his successor. Christian Schilling (Geolith and Wiemer) and Rolf Dürschmidt (Feycolor, not pictured) were confirmed on the board. In order to further enrich the work of the specialist group with new ideas, two additional members were added to the board: Dr. Gudrun Schopf (Brocolor Lackfabrik GmbH) and Dr. Marcel Roth (Dörken). The background image for the group photo was also taken from Marcel Roth's inspiring presentation entitled "Success Factors of R&D in Risky Times - How Resilience and Strategy Drive Innovation".
