World Coatings Council WCC met for the 2025 annual conference

The World Coatings Council (WCC) met for its annual conference in Frankfurt/Main from March 12 - 14, 2025. At the invitation of the VdL, more than 20 representatives of paint and coatings industry associations discussed the economic situation and regulatory issues.
At its most recent meeting, the World Coatings Council (WCC) focused on the current, internationally challenging economic situation and global regulatory issues at the invitation of the German Paint and Printing Ink Industry Association (VdL). A key outcome of the meeting was the member associations' agreement on a joint marketing campaign, which will be launched at the end of March under the title "International Paint and Coatings Week".
WCC promotes cooperation between paint and coatings industry associations
The WCC aims to promote international exchange and cooperation between national and regional paint and coatings industry associations. In particular, the focus is on communicating the industry's global contribution to sustainable development. In addition, the Council develops recommendations and analyses on topics of common interest and works on a globally coordinated position that is represented to international organizations and stakeholders. In addition to the German Association VdL, the World Coatings Council also includes industry representatives from Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the EU, France, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, South Africa, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.
