Trowal at PaintExpo 2026 with new rotamats

At PaintExpo 2026, Walther Trowal will be presenting the Rotamat R 60 for the insulation coating of particularly small components for electronics and the new R 100 for large flat sealing elements in e-mobility for the first time.
Both new Rotamats that Trowal will be presenting at PaintExpo 2026 expand the machine's range of applications to include components that were previously unsuitable for barrel coating. Walther Trowal has developed a drum with a special geometry for the Rotamat R 60 for the insulation coating of very small components in the electronics industry - for example, ferrite cores with a volume of down to one cubic millimeter. Ribs and deflectors specially designed for this application inside the rotating drum ensure that the parts are coated evenly - guaranteeing reliable insulation of the components. Secondly, despite their small size, the individual parts do not stick to each other and leave the machine cleanly separated.
Trowal Rotamat for large-format coatings
Walther Trowal will be presenting the Rotamat R 100 for coating large-format flat gaskets made of elastomers. These sealing elements are frequently used in electric vehicles, for example for sealing the individual cells in the battery packs and their cooling circuits with heat exchangers, as well as in fuel cells and motors. They are coated with bonded coating or colored lacquer. The new Rotamat R 100 has a capacity of 160 liters. For example, it coats around 150 flat gaskets with a diameter of up to 350 mm or 50,000 O-rings per batch ... around three times as many as its predecessor, the R 85. "Until now, the Rotamat has mostly been used for small parts, for example for coating O-rings. With the new R 100, we are breaking new ground: it is the first that also enables manufacturers of significantly larger sealing elements to coat economically," says Frank Siegel, Sales Manager "Coating Technology" at Walther Trowal. The new Rotamat is also suitable for the decorative coating of plastic parts, for example made of ABS or polyethylene, as well as for thin-walled metal rings with diameters of up to 300 mm, which are coated with a binder, for example as shaft sealing rings, before elastomers are applied.
