Saxonia Galvanik celebrates 20 years - Anniversary event
Saxonia Galvanik celebrated its 20th anniversary with its employees and their families, as well as former employees, pensioners and interested parties from the surrounding area and invited them to an "Open Day".
Since becoming independent in 2005 and thanks to the commitment of many employees, Saxonia Galvanik has established itself as a leading company in its sector. The company has survived both the coronavirus and post-coronavirus crises as well as the major supplier crisis of the last two years, which forced many of its competitors into insolvency. During the same period, the Saxonia site in Halsbrücke invested in new systems for e-mobility product ranges and new robot systems. At the anniversary celebration on September 13, 2025, current and former colleagues were able to take a trip down memory lane at the newly installed timeline, through the management's speech and, above all, through conversations with each other. With a history that can be traced back to 1612, the company is also deeply rooted in the region.
This connection is also evident in the support of the local associations for the festival. The Halsbrücke volunteer fire department and the Erzwäsche Halsbrücke settlers' association provided food and drink, while the Conradsdorf Carnival Association provided face painting and glitter tattoos and the Curiosity Express made more than just children's hearts beat faster with its many experiments. The event was musically framed by Felix Kralacek with his Kofferkapelle and the performance of the Freiberg Mining Music Corps, which ended with the Steigerlied. The extremely positive feedback and great interest shown by all those attending is motivating and confirms the path the company has taken so far: with courageous decisions and special cohesion, especially in times of crisis, the company is standing securely on the market.
