Reiter RoboTwin: Simple teaching of painting robots without programming

Using painting robots without complicated programming by simply teaching them: Reiter Oberflächentechnik will be presenting innovative concepts for creating coating programs without programming knowledge at PaintExpo 2026.
RoboTwin significantly simplifies the automation of painting processes. The system from Reiter Oberflächentechnik enables painting robots to be taught directly by demonstration: A painter performs the desired painting process once manually, RoboTwin records the motion sequence based on sensors and automatically generates a robot program from this. Time-consuming offline or expert programming is completely eliminated. This makes RoboTwin particularly suitable for changing components and small to medium batch sizes and reduces time and personnel costs in production. Several robots can be taught in parallel.
Use of painting robots without programming knowledge
RoboTwin is designed as a plug & play solution for wet painting and powder coating. Post-processing of the generated motion paths is possible offline. Programming knowledge is not required. The system consists of a RoboTwin unit with sensor technology and spray detection, attachment to the spray gun, app connection and optional extensions such as ATEX Zone 22, line tracking and WiFi. The application is possible for powder coating, wet painting and pre- and post-coating for reciprocators and is available for robots from ABB, Fanuc and all leading robot manufacturers. There will be a live demonstration at PaintExpo 2026 at Reiter's stand 2102, hall 2.
