Plantag Implements New ERP System—Cloud-Based SAP

The launch of the new cloud-based SAP S/4HANA at Plantag came with a number of challenges. “We know that problems did arise during the process. Delivery delays, as well as the simultaneous relocation of our production, led to constraints that our customers also felt. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our customers for their patience, trust, and understanding,” said Managing Director Hanno Baumann. Despite these initial difficulties, the company is confident that it is on the right track. “The investments in our facility and the implementation of SAP are a clear sign of our forward-looking approach. We are laying the foundation for greater transparency, efficiency, and significantly improved delivery performance,” says Hanno Baumann.

Delivery Processes at Plantag Optimized with SAP

Particularly encouraging: The next generation of the Baumann family of owners has been heavily involved in the project and has actively supported the implementation of the new ERP system. This underscores that the company is future-proof not only technologically, but also in terms of personnel and strategy. In a second phase of the SAP implementation, delivery processes will be further optimized and workflows made faster and more transparent. The year-end inventory count also went significantly more smoothly with the new system.
