Plantag Coatings GmbH has been involved in Lippe Bildung eG’s “Training Ambassadors” project for more than ten years and was thus one of the first companies to support this regional career guidance initiative.

Through his long-standing commitment to supporting young talent, Plantag helps provide young people with practical insights into the professional world and supports them in choosing a career. Currently, Plantag apprentice Ole Dickewied is serving as a training ambassador. He visits schools to share firsthand accounts of his daily training routine, his profession, and the diverse opportunities offered by a dual training program. He was presented with a certificate in recognition of this commitment during a ceremony. Plantag, as a long-standing project partner, also received an award for its ongoing support of the program. “Young people benefit especially from the experiences of their peers. That’s why we’ve been wholeheartedly supporting the project for many years. Our apprentices are credible ambassadors for dual training and demonstrate the opportunities it offers,” said Plantag Managing Director Hanno Baumann.

A Key Component of Plantag’s Efforts to Support the Next Generation

The Lippe Bildung eG project can look back on an impressive track record: To date, 396 training ambassadors from 55 vocational training occupations and dual study programs have been trained by 71 companies in the Lippe region. Through more than 600 outreach events, the program has reached over 11,000 students at secondary schools. Interest remained high last school year as well: 57 training ambassadors representing 28 vocational fields and two dual study programs from 23 companies in the Lippe region were actively involved in career guidance. Through more than 70 visits to ten general education schools, two vocational colleges, one educational institution, and two extracurricular events, over 1,000 students were reached. A total of 51 apprenticeship ambassadors were recognized for their efforts. For Plantag, participation in the project is a key component of promoting the next generation of talent. The direct exchange between apprentices and students provides authentic insights into everyday professional life and helps young people make an informed decision about their career path. Through its long-standing commitment, Plantag actively contributes to securing a skilled workforce in the region and supports young people in finding the right start to their professional lives.
