Oltrogge Launches Promotion for Graco-Merkur Pumps

Starting in September, Oltrogge will offer four Graco Merkur pump systems for painting and coating processes at promotional prices. The high-pressure pumps meet a variety of requirements for flow rate and material pressure.
Which pump is suitable for a painting or coating application depends largely on the flow rate and material pressure. With four selected Graco Merkur systems, Oltrogge covers a variety of applications. The high-pressure pumps can be used for both manual painting and in more complex high-pressure systems employing Airmix or airless methods. An important parameter is the gear ratio. At a ratio of 30:1, for example, an air inlet pressure of 6 bar generates a material pressure of approximately 180 bar. At ratios of 36:1 or 48:1, the achievable pressure increases accordingly. The flow rate must also match the required material volume and application speed. “In practice, we see time and again that pumps tend to be sized too small rather than too large,” explains Steffen Suchomski, Sales Manager for Surface Technology at Oltrogge. A consistently high load can also increase wear and tear.
Graco-Merkur Systems for Mobile and Stationary Coating Applications
Two mobile Merkur complete systems are designed for changing coating locations and are equipped with a PerformAA-50 Airmix spray gun, hose assembly, and material filter. In addition, there are two wall-mounted pumps for stationary workstations and fixed system structures. Depending on the model, the systems differ in flow rate and material pressure and are also suitable for higher-viscosity solvent- or water-based coating materials. According to Oltrogge, the decision to replace a pump in existing systems should not depend solely on the pump’s age. The decisive factors are the current performance requirements and the cost-effectiveness of a repair. If repair costs exceed approximately half the price of a new unit, the company recommends considering a replacement. The sales promotion has been running since September 1, 2026, and is valid while supplies last.
