Oltrogge and Atlas Copco celebrate five years of partnership

The partnership between Oltrogge GmbH & Co. KG, engineering partner for technically sophisticated industrial solutions, and the compressed air specialist Atlas Copco began in September 2020 with the aim of expanding the Oltrogge portfolio with technologically leading and energy-efficient products.
Five years after the start of the partnership between Oltrogge and Atlas Copco, both companies are taking positive stock: the collaboration is proving to be a win-win situation - technically, in terms of sales and, above all, for customers. It stands for continuous progress, real customer proximity and shared values. On their anniversary, Oltrogge and Atlas Copco look back on numerous milestones and at the same time focus on future projects. A defining moment at the start of the partnership was the first inspection of Atlas Copco's technical data. Compared to previous brands, the manufacturer's systems achieved a previously unattained level of efficiency. Since then, up to two technological leaps have been made, depending on the machine type. Whereas five years ago, permanent magnet motors were considered the latest development, today synchronous reluctance motors with improved efficiency and without the use of rare earths are used. For customers, this means energy cost savings of up to 50 percent.
Compressed air innovations for Oltrogge customers
Other innovations have brought additional benefits for Oltrogge and its customers: With inPASS technology, filters can be changed during operation - without having to depressurize the compressed air network. The lex series also offers customers a cost-effective entry-level solution with the option of easily activating energy-efficient frequency control at a later date. Thanks to the special VSD technology, Atlas Copco compressors can also start and stop directly under pressure, without the idle times common with other manufacturers, during which energy is consumed but no compressed air is produced. These developments have not only reduced the operating costs of many customers, but also improved the sustainability of their systems. The digitalization of the systems has been consistently driven forward in parallel with technical development. Over 500 machines are now registered in Oltrogge's Smartlink system. With the remote monitoring and surveillance system for compressed air systems, the operator can access the compressor online and check the values from anywhere. The Smartlink software also notifies of faults or warnings, allowing quick access.
Cooperation in marketing and sales
The intensive collaboration is not only evident at a technical level, but also in the market. Oltrogge has established itself as a strategically important sales partner. Joint marketing campaigns and activities provide important impetus here. "The past five years have shown that in Atlas Copco we have found a partner with whom we not only think innovation, but also put it into practice. As a result, our customers benefit from more efficient systems, digital services and real competitive advantages. The market for compressed air technology has changed dramatically over the past five years. Rising energy prices, growing demands for digital solutions and increasing price pressure characterize the environment. Oltrogge and Atlas Copco are responding to these developments with highly efficient machines, digital services and practical innovations. In the future, competition from online providers will continue to increase, particularly in the segment of small, easy-to-replace compressors, and the two partners are already prepared for this.
