Mirka Abrasives Germany GmbH has a new Managing Director since April 8, 2026: Dr. André Wagner takes over the management of the German Mirka subsidiary based in Uetersen.

Dr. André Wagner is already responsible for the Bonded Abrasives business unit within the Mirka Group as Unit Manager. With effect from April 8, 2026, his area of responsibility has been expanded: In addition to his previous role, he will take over the management of Mirka Abrasives Germany GmbH. With this personnel decision, Mirka is focusing on continuity and professional expertise in order to sustainably strengthen the further development of the Uetersen site and further expand international cooperation within the Mirka Group.

Mirka as a system provider for industrial sanding solutions

"The acquisition positions Mirka as a system provider for industrial sanding solutions along the entire value chain. With the associated portfolio expansion, we are clearly pursuing the goal of further expanding our market position." The Uetersen site specializes in the production of bonded grinding wheels with conventional abrasives such as corundum (aluminium oxide) and silicon carbide in a ceramic bond. These tools are a central component of high-precision grinding processes and are used in the automotive industry, rolling bearing production, aerospace and other demanding industrial applications.
