More than a year before Ligna 2027, the world's leading trade fair for the woodworking and wood processing industry has an excellent booking status. More than 80 percent of the exhibition space has already been booked and all leading companies in the industry have registered to take part.

More than 80 percent of the Ligna exhibition space has already been booked and all leading companies in the industry have registered their participation - across all Ligna exhibition areas. This confirms the woodworking community's unwavering commitment to the world's leading trade fair, despite the ongoing tense global economic situation. "The clear and comprehensive commitment of the companies shows that Ligna continues to be the central industry meeting place for international market players," says Stephanie Wagner, Project Director Ligna at Deutsche Messe AG. "At the moment - 15 months before Ligna 2027 - we have already booked more than 80 percent of the space compared to the final status of Ligna 2025. Two thirds of exhibitors have already registered to take part in the trade fair," adds Wagner. (Ligna 2025: 113,318 square meters of exhibition space and 1,425 exhibitors).

High level of bookings for Ligna 2027

Stephanie Wagner: "The high level of bookings for Ligna 2027 shows that the exhibiting companies are using the trade fair as an international platform to demonstrate expertise, strength, innovation and international presence - especially in a challenging environment. The number of registrations also clearly shows how important the objectives of Ligna currently are to companies: whether technological developments, new market requirements or the need for international exchange at decision-maker level - exhibitors see Ligna as a stable anchor point at a time when numerous markets are under pressure at the same time." Dr. Bernhard Dirr, Managing Director of VDMA Woodworking Machinery, sees opportunities in a rapidly changing world economy: "Global uncertainty and changes in the world economy - as inconvenient as they often are - also offer opportunities for our industry. Production sites are being relocated more frequently than before. The pressure to invest due to social trends is growing more and more and many planned investments have now been postponed for some time. Immense progress is also evident in areas that are not immediately thought of, such as recycling technology or measurement technology. In May 2027, Ligna will serve as a central marketplace for the industry. It will live up to its outstanding importance as an innovation trade fair on the new date without a public holiday."
