Kansai Helios completes acquisition of Becker Industrie's railway coatings business
Kansai Helios has completed the acquisition of the assets of the railway coatings business of Becker Industrie SAS, Montbrison (France), which belongs to the Beckers Group. The acquisition was announced back in December 2022.
According to the company, the acquisition strengthens Kansai Helios' competitive position in the field of railway coatings in Europe and worldwide. At the same time, as part of its growth strategy, the company opened its first subsidiary in France, Kansai Helios France SAS in Savigneux, which focuses on marketing Kansai Helios' outstanding industrial solutions. With the closing of the transaction, both a wide range of innovative industrial coatings for the protection of rail vehicles and a diversified customer portfolio were acquired from Kansai Helios France SAS, Kansai Helios' first subsidiary in Savigneux in France, with Mr. Hiroyuki Nagai as Managing Director.
All acquired businesses will be integrated and expand the existing range of Kansai Helios railroad coatings. Together with the acquired technology, approvals and customer database, the relevant employees of Becker Industrie SAS, specialized in railroad coatings, have already been integrated into Kansai Helios France SAS and will continue to serve customers in the market, under the Kansai Helios name. This business acquisition is another strategically important step by Kansai Helios in the field of railway coatings, following its recent acquisition and establishment of Kansai Helios Wefa in Essen, Germany. Together with the team of Kansai Helios France, Kansai Helios Wefa and our Austrian subsidiary Rembrandtin, Kansai Helios intends to continue shaping the future of railway coatings and other industrial coatings.
