German Occupational Health and Safety Award 2027 launched

The application phase for the German Occupational Safety Award (DASP) 2027 has started. The award is presented in four categories. Prizes are awarded for exemplary strategic, operational, cultural and personal solutions relating to health and safety at work.
Each category of the German Occupational Safety Award is endowed with prize money of 10,000 euros. Companies of all sizes and sectors based in Germany, as well as individuals, can apply online until June 30, 2026. The award ceremony, under the patronage of Federal Minister of Labor Bärbel Bas, will take place in Berlin in April 2027. The aim is to find ideas that help prevent accidents at work and occupational illnesses and sustainably improve working conditions. The focus is on the most valuable thing in the world of work: people.
German Occupational Safety Award honors solutions
The DASP is an expression of appreciation by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the ministries of the federal states responsible for occupational health and safety (represented by the State Committee for Occupational Safety and Safety Technology) and the umbrella organization of the German Social Accident Insurance Institutions, the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV). Participation is worthwhile. The concepts presented are inspiring and ideally adaptable for as many companies as possible. Prizes will be awarded to four exemplary solutions that have been developed and put into practice. The submissions will be reviewed by an independent jury from the worlds of business, politics, associations and science, and twelve concepts will be nominated for an award. The German Occupational Safety Award will be presented at a ceremony in Berlin in April 2027. The four winners will only be announced there. The German OS H Award is an initiative of the Joint German Occupational Safety and Health Strategy (GDA) as a platform for strengthening occupational safety and health in Germany.
