The application phase for the German Occupational Safety Award (DASP) 2025 has begun. The cross-industry award for exemplary solutions in the field of occupational health and safety for employees is endowed with prize money of 10,000 euros in each of four categories.

Companies of all sizes and sectors based in Germany, as well as individuals, can apply for the German Occupational Safety Award 2025 at www.deutscher-arbeitsschutzpreis.de until June 30, 2024. The award ceremony will take place in Berlin in February 2025. A clever onboarding process, a revolutionary safety system, technical aids to make work easier - measures like these have already been honored with the German Occupational Safety Award over the past fifteen years. Companies of all sizes and industries, but also individuals, have implemented numerous convincing concepts to protect themselves and their employees in the best possible way. The declared aim is to prevent accidents at work and occupational illnesses and to sustainably improve working conditions, focusing on the most valuable thing in the world of work: people. The DASP is the highest appreciation of these concepts by the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the ministries responsible for occupational health and safety in the federal states (represented by the State Committee for Occupational Health and Safety and Safety Technology) and the umbrella organization of the German Social Accident Insurance Institutions, the German Social Accident Insurance.

Participation is worthwhile, especially as the concepts presented are inspiring and ideally adaptable for as many companies as possible. Four exemplary solutions will be awarded: in the "Strategic" category: far-reaching management solutions in the "Operational" category: creative and innovative solutions at company level in the "Cultural" category: behavioral and relationship-changing measures in the "Personal" category: measures that affect the protection, safety and health of the individual. The submissions will be reviewed by an independent jury from the worlds of business, politics, associations and science, and twelve concepts will be nominated for an award. The German Occupational Safety Award will be presented at a ceremony in Berlin in February 2025. Only then will the four winners be announced. The German Occupational Safety Award is an initiative of the Joint German Occupational Safety and Health Strategy (GDA) as a platform for strengthening occupational safety and health in Germany.
