Eleven young talents competed for the title of champion at the German Championships for Vehicle Painters in Hilden between November 24 and 26, 2025. In the end, 22-year-old Elena Artmann from Leiblfing in Bavaria came out on top and is now Germany's best vehicle painter.

The Technology Center of main sponsor PPG in Hilden was a hive of activity on both days of the German Automotive Painting Championships. After all, the three challenging tasks of the German Championship placed high demands on the technical knowledge and craftsmanship of the participants. The young painters first had to repair a damaged mudguard and apply a three-color design to it. Next, a door had to be painted in several colors and set off with decorative strips. Creativity was required for the design of a miniature car model. Matching the PPG color mixing system "MoonWalk", the young vehicle painters were able to develop and implement their own space design. Steven Didssun, President of the Federal Association of Vehicle Painters (BFL), was impressed by the achievements of the young vehicle painters: "Our young colleagues have once again demonstrated their enormous perseverance, skill and passion. The tasks were tough this year, but all participants mastered them with flying colors. In the end, only a few points decided the winner."

"It was a great pleasure for us to welcome the talented young vehicle painters here in Hilden," said Jochen Kleemann, Managing Director of PPG Germany. "The work of the participants was impressive throughout - precision, creativity and craftsmanship at the highest level. It was particularly nice to see that they not only showed off their skills, but also supported each other. Such achievements clearly show how strong and sustainable our industry is. We congratulate all the participants on their outstanding achievements and were delighted to be able to accompany them in this competition."
