Friedrich Nagel receives DVS Ring of Honor
Friedrich Nagel has been awarded the Ring of Honor of DVS - Deutscher Verband für Schweißen und verwandte Verfahren e. V. (German Welding Society). This ring of honor is awarded to members of DVS who have distinguished themselves through their work in the technical-scientific field or have rendered outstanding services to the association.
Friedrich Nagel has been one of the deputies of the DVS President since May 2011 and is still a member of the Board of Directors, the Presidium and the Board Council of the association. In this role, he has continuously driven the development of the DVS Strategy 2025 and contributed his in-depth knowledge and experience from the skilled trades and active association work. Nagel holds three master craftsman titles, namely in the painting and varnishing trade, in bodywork and vehicle construction, and in automotive engineering. He is also a business economist in the skilled trades. From 2002 to 2011, Nagel also held the office of president of the Central Association of Bodywork and Vehicle Technology (ZKF). In his role, he is an important link between the three major associations, the Zentralverband des Deutschen Handwerks e. V. (ZDH), the ZKF and the DVS.
In her laudatory speech, DVS President Dipl.-Betriebsw. Susanne Szczesny-Oßing emphasized: "Friedrich Nagel combines in an exemplary manner profound, diverse and long-standing experience with new food for thought. In recent years, he has created forward-looking structures. And that's not all: as a member of the Executive Committee, he has also been active in the Handwerk-DVS Coordination Group since 2007 as an important shaper of future directions. This commitment deserves recognition." DVS Managing Director Dr.-Ing. Roland Boecking concurs: "Friedrich Nagel also represents the interests of our 1,200 member companies from the German skilled trades in DVS. Due to his masterful training, his wealth of experience and his multifaceted competencies, Friedrich Nagel is predestined to build bridges between joining technology and the skilled trades."
