Excelitas with next generation UV and infrared curing for metal coatings

At PaintExpo 2026, Excelitas will be showcasing the latest developments in UV curing as well as intelligent infrared solutions for optimizing metal coatings. The focus here is on higher performance and lower energy consumption.
Pipes and tubes are given protective coatings to protect them from corrosion and make them more durable. Increasingly, companies are integrating a UV coating process into their production. Experience shows that UV coatings offer a highly effective and efficient solution to reduce emissions and ensure fast drying times. Optimally cured UV coatings contribute greatly to making the metal tubes resistant to scratches, light and chemicals. UV LED technology is much more energy efficient compared to conventional processes and thus enables a significant reduction in production costs.
Excelitas infrared heat for metal coating
Water-based top coats on housings or powder coatings on metal sheets - many production steps require heat processes for drying or curing. It is worth paying attention to the energy efficiency of the heat source. Infrared heaters are precisely matched to the product and the process. This is important as the properties of the products have a major influence on the heating process. Flat sheets or solid blocks heat up at different rates. High-gloss metals reflect very strongly, while dark surfaces absorb the heat very well. Medium-wave infrared emitters dry faster on the surface, while short-wave emitters penetrate deeper. Precisely tuned infrared emitters work very reliably and can be precisely controlled. This saves time, space and energy. UV technology cures quickly and reliably, while infrared systems dry or heat in a targeted and homogeneous manner. With the acquisitions of Phoseon and Noblelight, Excelitas now offers its customers a complete solution for IR drying and UV curing from a single source. The expanded product portfolio of the Phoseon, OmniCure and Noblelight brands includes air- and water-cooled UV LED surface curing systems, UV lamp and UV LED spot curing systems, UV microwave and LED systems, infrared lamps as well as low-pressure and medium-pressure UV curing lamps. Excelitas will be exhibiting at PaintExpo 2026 in Hall 1, Stand 1243.
