Electroplated Plastics Association (FGK) elects new board of directors
At the general meeting of the Fachverband Galvanisierte Kunststoffe e.V. (FGK) on 12 March 2026, a new board was elected as scheduled.
Dr. Markus Dahlhaus and Stefan Tilke were confirmed as board members of the Fachverband Galvanisierte Kunststoffe e.V. (FGK), while Fabian Lentz from DKS Surface GmbH in Katzenelnbogen was newly elected to the board. Chairman and Deputy Chairman swapped roles: Stefan Tilke from Saxonia Galvanik GmbH is the new FGK chairman, while Dr. Markus Dahlhaus from BIA Kunststoff- und Galvanotechnik GmbH & Co KG is his deputy.
Social media activities of the FGK
Managing Director Christoph Matheis reported on the development of social media activities on LinkedIn, which have been underway since November 2025. As the FGK does not have its own social media channels, the aim was to use the strong reach of the ZVO channel for FGK topics. This was a great success: From a standing start, a total reach of 11,325 and almost 17,000 unpaid impressions were generated for the association. This is an enormous increase in visibility for the FGK. In addition to the adoption of the annual financial statements and the approval of the budget, the evaluations of the 2025 climate balance sheet and the 2025 chromium trioxide balance sheet with the respective reduction successes were presented in the further course of the general meeting. Reports on the economic situation and a discussion on the future direction of the FGK with regard to sales sectors and potential member recruitment rounded off the FGK's 2026 General Assembly.
