Last year, manufacturer Denios launched SpillGuard, the first leakage warning system for drip pans. Now the company has launched another world first with the successor model SpillGuardconnect, which integrates drip pans into the company network thanks to Narrowband IoT technology.

In addition to a visual and audible alarm, the new leakage warning system also sends a message in real time to a device of choice (smartphone, tablet, desktop PC) in the event of contact with liquid hazardous substances. Users are automatically shown in which drip tray a leak has occurred and can initiate measures more quickly. SpillGuard connect can be installed in any drip tray, works autonomously and offers an unlimited range with a battery life of up to 5 years.

Central management via the Denios connect web application

Reliable and centralized remote monitoring of spill trays equipped with SpillGuard connect is carried out via the Denios connect web application. This makes it easy to manage several detectors, including displaying status data such as ambient temperature and battery charge status. At the same time, the operating status is documented once a week, which can be submitted as a PDF report during an audit for the weekly prescribed visual inspection of spill trays in accordance with the Steel Tray Directive (StawaR) / TRGS 510.
