Control 2027: Special Exhibition on Noncontact Measurement Technology

As part of Control 2027, the leading international trade fair for quality assurance in Stuttgart, the Fraunhofer Vision Division, in collaboration with P. E. Schall, is hosting the “Noncontact Measurement Technology” special exhibition for the 20th time. Proposals for exhibits can now be submitted.
The special exhibition “Noncontact Measurement Technology” at Control 2027 showcases a cross-section of innovative technologies, applications, and system components from the field of noncontact measurement and testing technology, and offers users initial guidance in selecting the technology best suited to their specific testing tasks. Companies, research institutions, and universities interested in participating are asked to submit an exhibit proposal (title and brief description) to the Fraunhofer Vision Division— vision@fraunhofer.de —by October 30, 2026. In recent years, the special exhibition has established itself as a communication platform and marketplace for innovation among exhibitors and trade show visitors alike, and has become an integral part of the Control trade show. The performance and flexibility of modern systems are constantly improving. Ever-wider measurement ranges are being covered and new fields of application are being tapped, making it difficult for users to navigate the market. The special exhibition therefore offers guidance in selecting the technology best suited to their specific testing tasks.
Submit exhibits for the “Non-Contact Measurement Technology” special exhibition
As in previous years, the latest developments and innovative measurement and testing systems that operate on a non-contact principle will be presented. The focus will be, on the one hand, on the testing or measurement of external or visible characteristics of components or materials. Relevant technologies for this include, for example, light sectioning, stripe projection, white-light interferometry, holography, time-of-flight, and confocal measurement methods. In addition, the special exhibition will provide a platform for measurement and testing techniques that operate in the non-visible part of the wavelength spectrum to examine the interior of materials—such as thermography, X-rays, ultrasound, or terahertz—as well as spectroscopic methods like hyperspectral imaging. Last but not least, the special exhibition also offers an opportunity to showcase exhibits on the topics of “Artificial Intelligence” and “Machine Learning” in the field of image processing, as there is a great need for information in this area among potential users. The “Noncontact Measurement Technology” special exhibition at the Control trade show is jointly organized by the office of the Fraunhofer Vision Division in Fürth and P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG in Frickenhausen.
