As part of the master’s program in Electrochemistry and Electroplating at the Technical University of Ilmenau, the “Applied Electroplating” module will take place again from August 3 to 7, 2026, once more in a hybrid format so that interested industry representatives can also participate.

All events in the “Applied Electroplating” weekly module will take place both in person and online. Experts and experienced practitioners in electroplating will present on relevant topics in electroplating and surface engineering. From planning and project design through substrate preparation, coating formation, and wastewater treatment to quality control, attendees will gain an in-depth understanding of the processes involved in electroplating and chemical coating. The module concludes with a presentation on regulations and the resulting future prospects for the electroplating industry. The course is particularly valuable for its strong practical focus, thanks to the numerous examples drawn from the speakers’ professional experience.

Hybrid Block Course for Guest Students

Thanks to the hybrid format, guest attendees from industry can once again participate. With this offering, the Technical University of Ilmenau promotes opportunities for exchange between practitioners and early-career researchers. Registrations can be made informally via email directly to the Technical University of Ilmenau at fgecg@tu-ilmenau.de. Participation is free of charge.
