BYK at European Coatings Show 2025 with innovations and new developments

BYK, one of the leading specialty chemicals manufacturers, will have a large stand in Hall 3A at the European Coatings Show 2025 (March 25-27, 2025). BYK will present its latest innovations and developments focusing on three main topics: Sustainability, additive solutions for formulating PFAS-free systems and shortening product testing and product development times. The company's goal is to develop sustainable solutions and actively shape the future of the coatings, printing inks and adhesives industry.

BYK research for sustainable products

BYK is developing more environmentally friendly products such as the wax additives Ceraflour 1003 and Ceraflour 1004 or the new VOC-, mineral oil- and silicone-free powder defoamer BYK-1693 SD for waterborne, mineral- and dispersion-based building material formulations that minimize the environmental footprint while meeting the highest performance standards. These innovative additive solutions help BYK customers achieve their own sustainability goals and protect the environment.

Additives for PFAS-free formulation

BYK is a pioneer in the development of additives for the formulation of PFAS-free systems. Technical solutions such as the newly developed defoamers BYK-1810, BYK-1811, BYK-1815, BYK-1816 and BYK-1818 offer excellent performance properties without the use of perfluorinated and polyfluorinated alkyl substances. These pioneering solutions reduce environmental impact while meeting the high demands of customers. BYK will also be showcasing its fully automated High Throughput Screening (HTS) system, which performs serial testing with impressive speed and efficiency. The ability to test up to 220 samples in just 24 hours shortens development cycles, increases product quality and enables customers to be supplied with customized additives even faster. BYK will be represented at ECS 2025 in Hall 3A, Stand 124.
