Yaskawa Europe gets new top management

Yaskawa Electric Corporation announces a change at the top of Yaskawa EMEA: Marcus Mead will be appointed Executive Officer Regional Manager Europe, Chairman & President of Yaskawa Europe GmbH effective March 1, 2024, succeeding Bruno J. Schnekenburger, who is retiring.
Marcus Mead (53) takes over the position of Regional Executive Officer Regional Manager at Yaskawa Europe GmbH. The British manager joined Yaskawa in 2018 as Vice President of Operations after a career in aerospace engineering at the British Aerospace (Commercial Aircraft) Airbus Division, in the automotive industry at Magna International and in automation technology at Parker Hannifin. Since September 2018, he has headed the European Robotics Division in Allershausen near Munich. Since March 2023, Mead has also held the position of President EMEA at the headquarters in Hattersheim near Frankfurt. Throughout his tenure, Mead has actively driven Yaskawa's development in Europe, particularly in the field of robotics. Notable achievements during his tenure include the accelerated strengthening of the regional subsidiaries, ensuring increased availability of Yaskawa's broad product portfolio and the development of regional manufacturing in robotics and systems.
"Over the past six years, Marcus Mead has achieved a great deal for Yaskawa in Europe," says Bruno J. Schnekenburger, who is now retiring, in recognition of his successor. "I am delighted that Yaskawa EMEA can continue to rely on the energy and expertise of this successful leader, who is a guarantor of Yaskawa's future development." Schnekenburger himself can look back on a successful ten years at Yaskawa, as Marcus Mead emphasizes: "Bruno J. Schnekenburger has shaped Yaskawa's successful path in the EMEA market and we are eternally grateful to him for this." Schnekenburger has held positions of responsibility at Yaskawa since 2014, first as President of the European Robotics Division, then as Chief Operating Officer and since 2018 as President & Regional Head. Since 2020, he has also been Senior Executive Officer of the Japanese parent company Yaskawa Electric Corporation.
