Oltrogge refrigeration dryer replacement: Replace outdated refrigeration dryers

Oltrogge is launching a replacement campaign for outdated refrigeration dryers in April. In doing so, the compressed air specialist is helping its industrial customers to reduce costs and avoid downtime caused by outdated refrigeration drying systems.
In times of rising energy costs and increasingly hot summers, there is a growing focus on the efficiency and reliable operation of compressed air systems. The refrigeration dryer plays a special role here. It removes moisture from the compressed air and supplies dry air to ensure a long service life of the system and high quality of the end product. However, older refrigeration dryers in particular often prove to be energy guzzlers and a risk of failure. With the current replacement campaign, Oltrogge is now offering companies the opportunity to replace outdated appliances with modern, energy-efficient models.
Modern refrigeration dryers with energy-saving function
"Many of the refrigeration dryers on the market are technologically outdated and have no energy-saving function," explains Dennis Lange, Head of Compressed Air Technology at Oltrogge. "As these devices are also designed for extreme summer conditions, they operate oversized for most of the year and consume an unnecessarily large amount of electricity." Modern refrigeration dryers, on the other hand, adapt their output to the actual demand. The energy-saving function is particularly effective when consumption fluctuates or when used sporadically: when demand is reduced, the appliances reduce their output by up to 30 percent or switch off completely when not in use - at night, for example. The savings potential is considerable: internal calculations show that the investment in a new refrigeration dryer often pays for itself within just a few years. In addition to the energy aspect, general operational safety also plays a decisive role. "At the high temperatures in summer, older refrigeration dryers often reach their limits or fail completely," continues Dennis Lange. "The result: condensate gets into the compressed air line, is difficult to remove and can cause damage to tools or machines and, in the worst case, lead to downtime and operational failures."
Replacing refrigerant dryers saves money
With a proactive replacement, companies not only save money, but also avoid costly breakdowns and are optimally positioned for future requirements. As part of the campaign, interested parties can choose from various refrigeration dryers from well-known manufacturers such as Atlas Copco. Oltrogge has all standard sizes immediately available from stock. As part of a comprehensive service, Oltrogge also takes care of the installation and commissioning of the new dryer as well as the disposal of the old model. Of course, Oltrogge also offers its proven 24-hour service for emergencies. The exchange campaign will run until June 2025.
