The Swedish industrial group Atlas Copco has taken over Druckluft-Technik-Nord GmbH, a distributor of compressors and compressed air technology based in Bad Oldesloe, Germany.

The northern German company Druckluft-Technik-Nord generated sales of around EUR 5 million in the past financial year with 18 employees. The distributor offers a wide range of products and services relating to compressed air generation and treatment, including the necessary piping installations. Vacuum systems are also part of the Bad Oldesloe-based company's portfolio. To date, Druckluft-Technik-Nord has cooperated with various compressor manufacturers. The dealer will continue to provide its entire customer base with the same high quality of service, such as maintenance and servicing or the testing of pressure vessels. In future, the company will offer compressors and accessories from Atlas Copco for refurbishments and new installations. Existing framework agreements with customers and suppliers will be rewritten.

"With this acquisition, we are expanding our service and sales offering in the greater Hamburg area," said Vagner Rego, President of Atlas Copco's Compression Technology Division and future CEO of the Atlas Copco Group. Druckluft-Technik-Nord will legally operate as part of the Atlas Copco subsidiary KDS Kompressoren- und Druckluftservice GmbH. Atlas Copco will integrate the acquired business activities into the service division of the Compression Technology Group Area. The Atlas Copco Group offers compressed air and vacuum technology, energy solutions, dewatering and industrial pumps, industrial power tools, assembly technology and image processing solutions. In 2023, the Group generated sales of 173 billion Swedish kronor (around 15 billion euros) with around 53,000 employees.
