The ZVO Surface Days 2023 - #OTBerlin23 - will take place from September 13 to 15 in Berlin. Presentations can be submitted online until January 31, on the focus topics for 2023 and the permanent topics.

The primary objective of the ZVO Congress is the targeted networking of research and practice on the subject of electroplating and surface technology and the support of cross-industry communication. The opening up of new areas of application for electroplated coatings and the increasing demands on coated surfaces as well as dealing with new legal regulations at EU and federal level are the core topics here. The professional audience from the fields of development, construction, design and manufacturing will benefit in particular from the practical orientation of these topics. The annual ZVO Surface Days have developed into one of the leading surface forums for users, purchasers of surfaces, scientists, developers, designers, buyers, QM and sales staff from all industrial sectors. Also in 2023, the ZVO expects numerous international participants who will use the manifold opportunities for mutual information and joint discussions as a basis for future developments in their respective segments. The ZVO Congress has always attached particular importance to the cross-border exchange of ideas.

The ZVO is calling for submissions of papers for the 2023 focus topics as well as the permanent topics. The main topics in 2023 are pre- and post-treatment as quality-determining process steps of electroplated surface coatings with regard to process chemistry and plant technology (hardware and software), technologies for surface functionalization (outside of electroplating), Industry 4.0 and digital networking: significance and implementation in electroplating and surface technology (best practice), cost- and resource-efficient wastewater treatment, surface processes for sustainable, climate-neutral and energy-saving coating and the challenge of industrial component cleanliness: new requirements on particulate and filmic contamination. In addition, there will be the entrepreneurial forum "Management meets Surface": Industry 4.0 and Digital Networking: Importance and Implementation in Electroplating and Surface Technology (Best Practice), Energy Management in Electroplating and Surface Technology (Best Practice), Human Resources & Recruiting (Best Practice), Sustainable, Climate Neutral and Energy Saving Orientation of an Electroplating Shop (Best Practice) and Conversion to Cr(III) Processes from the Perspective of an Electroplating Shop (Best Practice). The permanent topics are: Results from Research - Young Colleagues Report, Complementary Technologies to Electroplating and Surface Engineering, Cathodic Corrosion Protection, Wear Protection & Tribology, Functional Coatings, New Requirements for Electroplating and Surface Engineering, From Process Monitoring to Product Quality. The presentation proposals can be submitted online.
