Bundled practical knowledge for coaters and anodizers: from November 7 to 9, 2023, the coating and QUALICOAT seminar as well as the anodizing seminar of the Verband für die Oberflächenveredelung von Aluminium e. V. (VOA) will take place physically.

In the Hotel Jagdschloss Kranichstein near Darmstadt, the VOA opens up the possibility for innovative, professional exchange and teaches the basics as well as the latest technical trends, equally suitable for beginners as well as for advanced users. Trainees, to whom the VOA grants particularly good conditions, are also very welcome. The VOA is combining both seminars in terms of location and dates, so that participants can easily take part in both events. Practical as well as theoretical know-how go hand in hand, the learning curve of the participants increases by the imparted expert knowledge and also by the personal exchange. In its function as general licensee of the international quality marks Qualicoat for coated and Qualanod for anodized aluminum products, the VOA focuses in particular on ensuring high quality as well as on the globally valid specifications, which in the case of Qualicoat in particular come up with extensive innovations at the end of the year.

Other topics on the agenda of the coating and Qualicoat seminar on November 7: cost savings through non-contact coating thickness measurement with a comparison of three measuring devices, efficient plant technology for profile coating depending on the batch size, and two topics that are of particular relevance in practice: Methods of coating weight determination and British Standard fire safety requirements (BS EN 13501), including the associated risks for coating companies. The following anodizing seminar, scheduled over two days, will be held under the direction of Friedhelm U. Scholten, Chairman of the Executive Board. In it, the VOA will devote itself to presenting the entire value chain with the individual steps of the anodizing process. The focus this year is on the anodizing step. The aim here is to exploit potential savings and to sound out the associated risks. For both seminars, the VOA has recruited extremely competent and experienced speakers from the ranks of its member companies. The conference hotel offers a good learning atmosphere and the opportunity for an intensive exchange of experiences. Interested parties can register at www.voa.de.
