BASF has signed a multi-year global industry partnership with WorldSkills International as the exclusive sponsor in the automotive coatings category in 2022 and is the global silver partner of the 47th WorldSkills competition in Lyon, France, with its premium refinish brand Glasurit. From September 10 to 15, 2024, over 1,500 participants from more than 65 countries will take part in 62 competitions at WorldSkills Lyon. The organization helps to promote vocational education and training worldwide and to highlight the current and future needs in this profession. 24 countries have registered to compete for the title in the vehicle painting category with the most promising candidates. BASF is supporting the competition with its state-of-the-art Glasurit Series 100 waterborne refinish system, which has proven to be the world's leading waterborne refinish system in terms of process time, consumption and sustainability.
