Barth-Galvanik GmbH received an honor at the German SME Summit: Science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar paid tribute to the Oberursel-based company on the occasion of its success in the TOP 100 innovation competition.

The TOP 100 awards ceremony took place during the Summit on June 24 in Frankfurt/Main. In the innovation competition, which was held for the 29th time, Barth-Galvanik was particularly convincing in the size category B (51 to 200 employees) in the category "climate of innovation". Barth-Galvanik finishes metal parts of all kinds in more than 25 facilities at three plants. To ensure lasting corrosion protection, screws, rivets, bolts or washers must first be annealed and hardened. This is the only way to achieve the appropriate strength for the respective application. 24 hours a day, the equipment runs in one of the most modern hardening shops in Europe.

"We only create equipment that is maximally automated, robust, easy to operate and can be docked to our digital infrastructure," emphasizes Managing Director Peter Dietz. The management says it has used the Corona crisis to establish an even larger process offering for customers. "Our innovative equipment enables significant reductions in throughput time and CO2 consumption. An attractive service with an environmental aspect," says the managing director. Uncomplicatedly, new ideas from the workforce reach the company's management, which itself is based in the open-plan office and maintains an open-door policy. Evaluation and feedback to the idea provider take place promptly.
