FiT2clean Award 2024 launched

The application phase for this year's FiT2clean Award, the innovation prize endowed with a total of 10,000 euros, began a few days ago and runs until June 30, 2024. Suppliers and users from all areas of industrial cleaning technology can take part. The award ceremony will take place as part of the 32nd "Industrial
Component Cleaning" conference on September 11, 2024 in Dresden, where FiT will also be celebrating its 20th anniversary. Conference participants will be able to vote for the winners. Component cleanliness is an essential feature for ensuring product quality and added value in the manufacturing industry. To achieve this, cleaning processes must not only be application-oriented, but also economical, resource-saving and sustainable. In addition, the
cleanability of components plays a decisive role in turning innovative product ideas into reality. "New and further developments from the various areas of industrial cleaning technology therefore help to strengthen the competitiveness of companies on the one hand. On the other hand, they become an enabler for progress," reports Dr. Michael Flämmich, Chairman of the FiT. "The submissions of the last two years have shown that there is considerable potential for innovation in industrial cleaning technology." In order to further promote and drive forward developments and innovations, the award is endowed with prize money of 10,000 euros and one year's free membership of the trade association.

The competition is aimed at national and international suppliers and users of industrial cleaning technology. Innovative solutions, currently implemented product ideas and further developments from the following subject areas can be submitted for this year's FiT2clean Award: Innovation - New product or product variation for more efficient implementation of current requirements in industrial component cleaning. Ecology - Solutions for industrial parts cleaning or for the modification of a product, process or application that results in resource-optimized process management or resource savings. QSRein 4.0 - Innovative system solution for knowledge-based process control in industrial parts cleaning. The FiT2clean Award will be presented this year during the 32nd "Industrial Parts Cleaning" conference, which is also the 20th anniversary event of the trade association. An independent panel of experts - twelve people from industry, science, research and the media - will select three finalists from the applications submitted in accordance with defined criteria. The applicants present these solutions in an elevator pitch to the conference participants, who can then vote for the winner.
