The Association for Surface Finishing of Aluminum e. V. (VOA) invites its members and interested guests to the 61st General Assembly for a professional exchange of ideas in the surface finishing industry. The event will take place from June 25 to 27, 2025 at the Steigenberger Hotel in Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler.

The focus of the VOA Members' Assembly 2025 is on technical and economic topics with well-known and renowned experts, such as Prof. Dr. Hubertus Bardt, Managing Director of the Cologne Institute for Economic Research. The three-day event will kick off with the Technical Circle meeting on June 25, 2025 for all those with an interest in technology. As a platform for the exchange of specialist knowledge and experience among members, the regular meetings initiated by the VOA's Technical Commission play a key role in the association. By discussing current trends and technologies, the VOA promotes new ideas and contributes to the dialog between companies, which ultimately leads to continuous further development in the surface finishing industry. The VOA also collects all the issues that concern the industry in this area at the Technical Circle meetings and can incorporate them into its work, also in order to represent the concerns in the political arena.

VOA General Assembly 2025: industry meeting of the surface finishing industry

After a personal welcome from Guido Orthen, Mayor of Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, the public part of the members' meeting will include an overview of economic developments in the Ahr Valley four years after the flood by Andrea Stenz, Regional Managing Director of the Koblenz Chamber of Industry and Commerce. The VOA and its member companies are particularly interested in the active handling of the extraordinary situation. Prof. Dr. Hubertus Bardt will then inform the participants about the industrial value chains in Germany - closely linked to the country's business location and future prospects in terms of innovation, development of skilled workers, infrastructure and sustainability. "We are particularly proud that we were able to win Prof. Bardt for our event and that the members of the VOA will gain an insight into his expertise," says VOA Managing Director Dr. Alexa A. Becker. After long days full of technical discussions and decisions, the evening program of the VOA General Assembly offers a welcome opportunity to exchange ideas with other industry participants and interesting international guests and to make new contacts. This year, the VOA will be exploring the "most secret place in Germany" - an underground world that provides both unique insights and exciting stories from the "Cold War" era. On the evening of June 26, VOA member companies and invited national, European and international guests can look forward to an exclusive networking dinner to round off the event in style. Registrations for the VOA General Assembly from June 25 to 27, 2025 will be possible from mid-March on the VOA website.
