Trumpf reports decline in sales for financial year 2024/25

Trumpf has published its preliminary figures for the 2024/25 financial year: at 4.3 billion euros, turnover is around 16 percent below the previous year, while incoming orders are down by around 7 percent to 4.2 billion euros.
As expected, Trumpf ends the financial year with declining sales and order intake. According to preliminary calculations, the company generated sales of 4.3 billion euros (financial year 2023/24: 5.2 billion euros) and order intake of 4.2 billion euros (previous year: 4.6 billion euros) in the financial year 2024/25 (reporting date June 30, 2025). In the home market of Germany, turnover fell by 15% to around EUR 700 million (previous year: EUR 824 million). Germany thus remained the strongest single market in terms of turnover. In the USA, Trumpf also recorded a decline in turnover. This fell by 17 percent to around 660 million euros (previous year: 796 million euros). Despite a 22 percent drop in sales, China was once again the strongest individual Asian market with sales of around 480 million euros (previous year: 615 million euros).
Trumpf sees bottom reached, but no turnaround yet
Trumpf CEO Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller said: "There were no signs of a real turnaround either economically or geopolitically in the third consecutive year of crisis. Nevertheless, we believe that we have now bottomed out. Incoming orders and sales have stabilized at a level that we believe is clearly too low." Trumpf has responded to the persistently weak demand with clear measures to improve earnings. These included job cuts as well as cutbacks in external services and new investments in buildings. "These measures are working," says Leibinger-Kammüller. "We have achieved something almost unbelievable and saved around 350 million euros. That was an achievement by the company that was sometimes reminiscent of a horse cure." As of June 30, 2025, the number of employees across the Group was 17,750, with around 8,900 employees in Germany, including around 5,900 at the headquarters in Ditzingen. Trumpf will publish the final figures, including the results, at its annual press conference on October 22, 2025.
