Trumpf achieves record sales in anniversary year

The Trumpf Group reports significant sales growth in the year of the company's 100th anniversary. According to preliminary calculations, the figure for fiscal year 2022/23 (reporting date June 30, 2023) is 5.4 billion euros (fiscal year 2021/22: 4.2 billion euros).

In its home market of Germany, Trumpf's sales increased significantly by more than 30 percent to around 770 million euros (previous year: 589 million euros). In the USA, Trumpf was able to continue the strong growth of the previous year and achieved sales of around 900 million euros (previous year: 649 million euros). The strongest Asian market was China with sales of around 600 million euros (previous year: 575 million euros). The high-tech company Trumpf is also starting the new fiscal year with its order books still well filled: Incoming orders once again exceeded the 5 billion euro mark, but at a total of 5.1 billion euros remained around 9 percent below the previous year's peak. (fiscal 2021/22: 5.6 billion euros).

Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, Chairman of the Executive Board of Trumpf, said, "Despite persistently difficult conditions, we have completed an outstanding fiscal year in the year of our 100th company anniversary. Nevertheless, we have been seeing a decline in orders for several months due to the slowdown in the global economy. We are therefore starting the new fiscal year with the necessary caution, despite a still solid order situation." The number of employees Group-wide rose to around 17,900, with around 8,800 working in Germany as of the reporting date of June 30, 2023, including around 5,800 at the headquarters in Ditzingen.
