Supfina at GrindingHub 2024: Grinding technology for brake discs

At GrindingHub 2024 in Stuttgart, Supfina Grieshaber GmbH & Co. KG will be presenting its innovative highlight, the Supfina Planet BD, for machining coated brake discs in Hall 10 at Stand C10.
In view of the introduction of the Euro 7 emissions standard, hard-coated brake discs are increasingly taking center stage. They make a decisive contribution to reducing particulate emissions and provide the necessary corrosion protection for electric vehicles. In close cooperation with manufacturers and coaters of brake discs, Supfina has developed the Planet BD, an innovative solution for precision double surface grinding of hard-coated brake discs. This grinding machine is characterized by a patented, force-neutral grinding process that significantly improves the shape and position tolerances, optimizes the service life of the tools and considerably reduces production costs.
With the Planet BD, Supfina underlines its pioneering role in the development of advanced grinding technologies and offers the automotive industry a solution that has already proven itself successfully in practice. "The Planet BD machine marks a milestone in terms of quality and efficiency in the processing of coated brake discs," says Gerhard Rudloff, Business Unit Manager at Supfina. "This product is the result of our intensive research and development work, carried out in close cooperation with our customers. It offers numerous benefits, including increased throughput rates, reduced cycle times and outstanding process control." We invite all visitors to the Supfina stand to experience the benefits of the Planet BD machine up close and to talk to our experts.
