Innovent surface technology department with new management
The Surface Technology department at Innovent e.V. has a new management team with dual leadership: Dr. Andreas Pfuch and Dr. Martin Schulz are taking over strategic and operational management with immediate effect.
Dr. Pfuch has already been in charge of the surface technology division at Innovent on an interim basis in recent months and brings with him many years of experience in the field of functional surfaces. Together with Dr. Schulz, an experienced research group leader, he now wants to further expand the department and strengthen it with innovative approaches. "With fresh ideas and a clear strategic direction, we want to further develop surface technology at Innovent and provide new impetus," says Dr. Pfuch. His colleague Dr. Schulz adds: "Our research and developments should be specifically geared towards the requirements of industry in order to provide innovative and sustainable solutions and deliver the spark of science to the economy."

Institute Director Dr. Bernd Grünler is also delighted that his two colleagues have agreed to take on the responsible task of heading the department: "I am very grateful that Dr. Pfuch and Dr. Schulz have taken on the management of the department. Both have not only the necessary technical expertise, but also the commitment that we need to further expand surface technology in the coming years. I wish them every success in their new role and am sure that they will continue to make an outstanding contribution to the institute in their new positions.
