Fraunhofer IPA organizes workshop on high-performance dispersions

In an in-person workshop in February 2024 on the topic of "High-performance dispersions in a networked process", Fraunhofer IPA will address questions such as how dispersing companies manage to get the best performance out of their formulations.
How do dispersing companies manage to get the best performance out of their formulations? How can the economy of scale be reconciled with the need for enormous product flexibility? How can waste and cost drivers be minimized with frequent batch changes? How can plant availability be maximized? These and other topics will be addressed in an in-person workshop at Fraunhofer IPA on February 21, 2024 in Stuttgart.
In the workshop, researchers and partners from the Center for Dispersion Technology will demonstrate specific ways in which dispersions, pastes and slurries can be optimized into high-performance products with the help of the right measurement technology and analysis as well as the ideal combination of different dispersion processes. Participants will also receive a deep dive into the networked, digitalized dispersion process, best practice examples and insights into how AI can guide an efficient dispersion process using machine learning, especially during batch changes and recipe adjustments. The individual contents of the workshop are: High-performance particle dispersions, stability and shelf life in perfection, high-end technologies in comparison, characterization, analysis and logical interpretation, in- and online quality monitoring implemented in practice, digitalization - networking - integration of machine learning processes as well as best practice applications, exchange of experience and dialogue on "adaptable dispersion processes".
