New Head of Paint Chemistry Application Technology at Fraunhofer IPA
Christina Bauder will take over the Paint Chemistry Application Technology team in the Coating Systems and Paint Technology department at Fraunhofer IPA on September 1, 2023.
After Dr. Jörg von Seggern retires at the end of October 2023, Christina Bauder, who holds a doctorate in chemistry, will succeed him with immediate effect as the person responsible for the continuation and expansion of projects in the specialist areas of corrosion protection, application research for new coating raw materials, coating chemical testing technology and coating technology.
Bauder has been employed at Fraunhofer IPA since 2011 and brings many years of experience from her work as a project manager on the topics of corrosion protection coatings, photocatalytically active coatings, paint raw materials and formulations, renewable raw materials and testing technology. She is also actively involved in committee work in the DIN working groups "Photocatalysis" and "Corrosion Protection Materials and Systems." Most recently, she took on the deputy role of group leader in 2022.
