Dürr expands training center with sealing robot cell
Dürr adds a sealing robot cell to its training center. Since May, customers have been trained in the latest sealing technology under real conditions at the mechanical and plant engineering company's headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen.
Well-trained personnel are needed to ensure high product quality and the long-term availability of systems. Dürr therefore offers its customers target group-oriented training measures under production-related conditions in the field of paint and thick matter application. In spring 2025, the company expanded its training center in Bietigheim-Bissingen to include a sealing robot cell with EcoRail HS and the two latest-generation EcoRS N20i and EcoRS L15i robots. The EcoShot Meter and EcoGun2 3D dosing and application technology have also been added. The EcoTemp PT temperature control system is also included. It brings the highly viscous sealing material to the required temperature.
Paint and sealant application training under real conditions
Thanks to the conversion, participants can now also learn how the new EcoRS robot generation works and how to use it under real conditions. The additional robot cell also enables the training center to respond more flexibly to customer requests and increase the number of parallel courses. In 2024, around 1,000 participants were trained in various technical disciplines in Bietigheim. In addition, around 100 training courses were held at customer locations. Dr. José Gamero, Head of the Training Center at Dürr, sums up the benefits: "The conversion allows us to provide ideal training for our customers who use the latest Dürr sealing technology. We offer courses on mechanical maintenance of the technology as well as electrical maintenance of the assemblies and the control system." This new training cell can also be used for robot programming training and system operator training for the Sealing division.
