Changes in the Trumpf Supervisory Board and Executive Board

In the year of its 100th anniversary, the high-tech company Trumpf is reorganizing its management bodies. With the start of the new fiscal year 2023/24 on July 1, 2023, there will be some personnel changes.
Dr. Jürgen Hambrecht (76), Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Trumpf since 2013, is stepping down after 10 years for age reasons and leaving the Board. Dr.-Ing. e.h. Peter Leibinger (55), Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), is leaving the Executive Board. He takes over the office of Chairman of the Supervisory Board from Dr. Jürgen Hambrecht. Elke Reichart (58), formerly CDO of TUI AG, joins the Supervisory Board of Trumpf, succeeding Prof. Dr. Claudia Eckert (64). Dr. Christian Schmitz (63), as a member of the Executive Board responsible for the Laser Technology Business Division, is stepping down from his position after reaching retirement age. Dr. Hagen Zimer (50) will be the new member of the Executive Board responsible for the Laser Technology Business Division. The physicist has been Managing Director of Trumpf Laser GmbH in Schramberg since 2020. Previously, he worked for the company in research and development, among other things, and was managing director of Trumpf's diode laser division in the USA. The new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) on the Trumpf Executive Board will be Dr. Berthold Schmidt (54), succeeding Peter Leibinger. The physicist has been Managing Director of Trumpf Photonic Components in Ulm since April 2020 and has been with Trumpf since 2013, including as CTO for Research and Development of the Laser Technology division and as Head of Corporate Research for the Central Research and Development division. In the extended management team, Peter Bokelmann (62) is leaving the company as General Counsel for reasons of age.
Dr. Hagen Zimer will be succeeded as Managing Director of Trumpf in Schramberg by Dr. Björn Dymke (47). Dymke has been with Trumpf since 2008 and was most recently Head of Finance and Controlling at the Trumpf Group in Ditzingen. Prior to that, the business economist was responsible for the finance and administration of the Trumpf companies in North America for three years. Dr. Berthold Schmidt's successor as managing director of Trumpf Photonic Components in Ulm will be announced in time for July 1, 2023. Trumpf CEO Dr. Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller and Trumpf board members Dr.-Ing. Mathias Kammüller (CDO), Dr. Lars Grünert (CFO), Oliver Maassen (CHRO), Dr.-Ing. Stephan Mayer (CEO Machine Tools) will retain their current functions. Commenting on the changes, Trumpf CEO Dr. Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller says: "Dr. Hambrecht has rendered great service to Trumpf as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. With the current changes on the Executive Board and the leadership of the Supervisory Board by my brother, we are setting the course for the future of Trumpf in its 100th anniversary year. From July 1, we will grow more than ever with the ambition of bringing excellent products to market in a changing world."
