11th Symposium Deburring Technologies and Precision Surfaces 2023
Innovative solutions, trends and practical reports for process-reliable deburring and precise surfaces: This is what the 11th specialist conference on deburring technologies and precision surfaces will offer on April 26 and 27, 2023 in Nürtingen.
The structural change in wide areas of the manufacturing industry makes knowledge about new developments, trends and benchmark applications a competitive factor. When it comes to the production steps of deburring and the manufacture of precision surfaces, the fairXperts conference on deburring technologies and precision surfaces has established itself as the information platform in German-speaking countries.
Innovative machining solutions and trends
In the production of precision parts, companies are confronted with ever higher or new requirements. These include increasingly demanding specifications for surface quality, more complex component geometry, a changed component spectrum, new and modified materials and manufacturing processes. At the same time, production must be energy- and resource-efficient and cost-optimized. In order to master this balancing act in the production steps of deburring, edge rounding, component cleaning and the production of precision surfaces in a technically and economically optimal way, information and know-how about innovative machining solutions and trends are just as indispensable as about best practice applications. An optimal transfer of knowledge in this area is offered by the 11th specialist conference on deburring technologies and precision surfaces. It will be held by the private trade fair and conference organizer fairXperts GmbH & Co. KG on April 26 and 27, 2023, at the K3N Culture and Conference Center in Nürtingen and will be divided into six thematic blocks.
Deburring with special equipment
Two series of lectures will be devoted to new and further developed processes and solutions for deburring with special equipment. The topics include efficient edge and surface processing by vibratory finishing and electrofinishing. Information will also be provided on thermal deburring and its possible applications. An overview lecture will provide insights into various post-processing and finishing technologies and their industrial application using the example of machined and additively manufactured components. The fact that ultrasonic deburring can also meet the specification "sharp-edged burr-free" will also be demonstrated. Other topics will include the machining of internal surfaces on various components using flow grinding and the Pinflow ball deburring and cleaning process for the internal and external machining of workpieces.
Mechanical deburring with tools
In this topic area, the lecture "Process-safe deburring of undefined workpiece edges" presents different solution variants as well as their advantages and disadvantages. Knowledge about the parameters that influence the result when precisely rounding cutting edges with brushing processes will also be conveyed. How can further time be saved even in an already optimized production process by combining several operations in one operation? The answer is an innovative drilling combination tool.
Clean surfaces reliably - Remove burr residues
Cleaning is a quality-relevant component in the deburring process. The importance of cleaning for the deburring result as well as for subsequent processes after deburring will be clarified in the conference. For the removal of fine tinsel burrs, a newly developed pulsating nozzle will be presented, which gives the dry CO2 snow blasting process a higher kinetic energy.
Automated quality inspection of surfaces
This presentation block starts with an introduction to quality assurance in deburring. The subsequent presentation informs about a mobile testing device for surface inspection. Through interfaces and the development and implementation of self-learning algorithms, this solution enables process control and quality control to be designed efficiently. Another presentation takes the participants into the world of digital holography and informs about the current state of sensor technology for industrial quality assurance.
Automated deburring with industrial robots
What are the success factors in automated robotic processing and what is important in robotic deburring? The symposium offers answers to these fundamental questions. Solutions for the shaping, robot-based superfinishing of workpieces with undefinable input quality, for example castings and forgings, are the subject of this block of lectures. So is the automated deburring of cast, forged and pressed parts with tools by CNC machines and robots.
The lecture program will be rounded off by an accompanying exhibition. This enables participants to generate knowledge not only through the presentation of new developments and practice-oriented process solutions, but also through the direct exchange of experience with experts. The event thus offers valuable suggestions for in-house process optimization.
The target group of the conference is specialists and managers from production, work preparation, technology, process engineering, quality assurance as well as development and design in the various branches of industry.
