International meeting place for the surface technology industry

SurfaceTechnology GERMANY invites you to the surface technology industry get-together in Stuttgart. Over three days, participating companies from all over the world will be demonstrating how they are tackling the current challenges facing the industry.

The challenges for surface technology companies remain demanding - there is currently no sign of any noticeable relief. High energy costs, strict environmental regulations (REACH and sustainability), a shortage of skilled workers, a continued subdued order situation and geopolitical uncertainties characterize the market environment. Added to this are necessary investments in digital automation and the modernization of existing systems, which tie up considerable resources.

"Especially in challenging times, personal exchange is becoming increasingly important. Dialogue, cooperation and joint solutions are now more important than ever. As a trade fair organizer, we offer the entire industry a platform for this with SurfaceTechnology GERMANY. Innovation, knowledge transfer and networking create space for information, discussion and concrete solutions for individual tasks," reports Ramtin Randjbar-Moshtaghin, Project Director SurfaceTechnology GERMANY at Deutsche Messe.

Surface technology as an essential key process

As a cross-sectional technology, surface technology represents an essential key process for almost all core industrial sectors - from mobility to mechanical engineering, the metalworking and processing industry, aerospace, medical technology and electronics. It therefore makes a decisive contribution to industrial value creation and competitiveness.

With the ZVO (German Surface Technology Association) and the VDMA Surface Technology Association, the event has two strong partners at its side. They are involved in political discussions in order to steer decisions in the right direction - for the preservation of companies, jobs and Germany as a business location. The diversity of the industry is reflected in a total of twelve exhibition focal points. National and international exhibitors present their innovations, products and services in Stuttgart and focus on direct exchange with trade visitors. Also represented are the joint stands of the ZVO with around 60 exhibiting companies and the surface technology process chain, organized by WOTech GbR.

Knowledge transfer at the highest level

Another highlight is the STG.ExpertForum (DE <> EN). As a knowledge platform and source of inspiration, it brings together around 50 specialist presentations and stands for practical knowledge transfer at a high level. In terms of content, the forum addresses key topics for the future - including "AI support in surface technology", "Surfaces for energy technology - new battery types and hydrogen technologies" and "Avoiding PFAS in surface technology". The topic of "Qualification of employees in the context of the shortage of skilled workers" also promises valuable impetus and intensive discussions.

As usual, the eagerly awaited presentation of the Stuttgart Surface Technology Award "The Surface" by the Fraunhofer IPA Institute will take place on the first day of the trade fair at the STG.ExpertForum.

Added value for exhibitors and visitors

GrindingHub and MedtecLIVE will take place at the same time as SurfaceTechnology GERMANY. Exhibitors and visitors benefit from the synergies of the parallel events: One admission ticket gives access to all three trade fairs. GrindingHub will take place in Halls 7, 9 and 10 and MedtecLIVE in Hall 3 (OM-4/26).
