Industrial Parts Cleaning Trade Association (FiT) at parts2clean 2023

For the sustainable and efficient fulfillment of defined specifications for technical cleanliness, the Fachverband industrielle Teilereinigung e. V. (FiT) will be offering extensive support at this year's parts2clean 2023.

Industrial component cleaning is a cross-cutting issue that no manufacturing company can ignore. It influences product quality and costs. The Fachverband industrielle Teilereinigung e. V. (FiT) offers extensive support in this regard during parts2clean at its trade show booth in Hall 10, Booth B02. The equally attractive and informative program of the Navigator of Industrial Parts Cleaning includes presentations and exciting lectures on new trends and developments as well as current tasks. One highlight is the presentation of the second FiT2clean Award, worth 10,000 euros, on September 28, 2023.

Without sufficient component cleanliness, neither the quality of subsequent processes nor that of the finished product can be ensured. However, the tasks in component cleaning and the requirements for technical cleanliness have changed in recent years due to new and modified products as well as modified manufacturing and joining technologies. Similarly, the demands on energy, resource and cost efficiency have risen sharply. As the competence network and navigator for industrial component cleaning, the Industrial Parts Cleaning Association has tailored its information offering for parts2clean from September 26-28, 2023 in Stuttgart to these changes.

FiT members present

The equally attractive and informative program at the FiT action area is aimed at ensuring stable, sustainable and cost-efficient cleaning processes. On the first day of the trade show, FiT members will offer know-how and provide information on solutions. Visitors will, for example, be taken into the mysterious world of ultrasonic cleaning and cavitation and can be sure that they will subsequently be able to understand how the "magic box ultrasonic unit" works. Practical examples from medical and pharmaceutical technology will be used to show why CO2 snow jet cleaning can be an alternative in these industries. The lecture will also present achievable cleanliness values with regard to particulate and, above all, chemical contaminants.

Are solvents better than their reputation? This question will also be answered at the FiT action area. Stable and controlled cleaning processes - application specialists will present and discuss practical solutions to typical problems in this area. The role that Artificial Reality solutions can play in the digital presentation and demonstration of functions and components as well as their interaction inside various cleaning systems will be demonstrated by a digital product presentation. The advantages offered by an efficient workpiece carrier system for gentle transport, safe storage and flawless cleaning will also be addressed.

FiT for the industry

The program of presentations on the second day of the trade show will provide insights into various topics of work of the trade association. For example, the DIN Standards Committee will present the current status of its standardization work on "Component cleaning and cleanliness of metallic components in the manufacturing process". Projects and results, for example the new guideline "Drying and its importance for achieving specified cleanliness requirements" and on the "Process solutions guideline" from the FiT technical committees will also be presented. In addition, an open discussion forum will be held to exchange experiences on the subject of sustainability in parts cleaning.

FiT2clean Award and innovations

A highlight awaits visitors to the FiT action area on the third day of the trade show (September 28, 2023) with the presentation of the FiT2clean Award. The prize, worth 10,000 euros, will be awarded for the second time this year. However, it will be exciting even before the winner is announced, when all three finalists present their submitted innovations for current challenges in component cleaning.

Support in the form of basic knowledge and recommendations for action, as well as initial cross-technology advice for the wide range of tasks in industrial parts cleaning, will be on the agenda of the trade association on all three days of the trade show. (OM-08/23)
