Resistance
Resistance refers to the ability of a coating to withstand different stresses without impairing its performance properties. A coated surface must be able to withstand various influences such as chemical substances, heat or mechanical stress in order to maintain its functionality and appearance over its expected service life. The resistance of a coating can be assessed in various categories. These include resistance to acids and bases, resistance to chemicals in general, resistance to high temperatures and the resistance of the color and surface structure to environmental influences and conditions of use.
A coating with high resistance ensures that it can retain its protective function and aesthetic appearance in the long term under the given conditions.
