Intumescent fire protection coating
An intumescent fire protection coating is a special material that is applied to surfaces to improve fire protection. It is used in particular to protect steel structures, as these can lose their load-bearing capacity at high temperatures. The coating is used to slow down the heating of the steel in the event of a fire and thus ensure the stability of the structure for a defined period of time.
