About us
Surface Technology Online is a new online magazine for industrial surface technology launched in spring 2022. We target professionals and executives in the coating and surface technology industry and provide you with news, technical reports, service information and a newsletter. We are well networked in the industry, act as media partners to event organizers, and our editorial content is easy to find on the Internet and optimally placed in search engines. We cover the entire DACH region (Germany/Austria/Switzerland) and publish all our content in German and English.
Your area of responsibility
- Support of advertising customers and maintenance of the existing customer base
- Acquisition of new customers and expansion of the customer base
- Sale of banners, advertorials and other ad formats
- Conducting sales negotiations by telephone as well as on site, for example at trade fairs and events
- Preparation of offers and conclusion of contracts
- Requesting, processing and placing advertising materials such as banner ads
- Advising customers on all matters relating to the design, production and scheduling of the desired advertising material
- Support in the development of media concepts and media data
- Updating customer and agency address files
- Smaller administrative tasks such as invoicing and dispatching
- Success control of advertising media, analytics tool evaluations
- Implementation of sales promotion measures, e.g. at trade fairs
Your profile
- Successfully completed commercial training or comparable qualification
- Professional experience in ad sales, sales or customer service, ideally in a specialized publishing house
- Good understanding and affinity for online marketing and online ad sales
- Interest in and understanding of technical topics and industry applications, ideally in the coating and surface technology industry
- Experience with processing and preparing online advertising materials such as banners
- Experience working with online analytics tools such as Matomo or Google Analytics
- Well groomed appearance as well as communicative and friendly personality
- Negotiation skills and assertiveness
- Strong customer orientation, even in difficult situations
- Organizational and planning skills as well as determination, structured way of working
- Good German language skills as well as business fluent English, good written and verbal expression skills
- Good knowledge of office applications such as Libre Office, cloud applications such as Nextcloud, communication software such as mail programs and video conferencing tools, content management systems (CMS), customer relations management systems (CRM) as well as image processing
- Willingness to travel, for example to trade fairs, events as well as customer visits, ideally location in southern Germany
