Association of the German Paint and Printing Ink Industry (VdL)
The Association of the German Paint and Printing Ink Industry (VdL) is the voluntary self-organization of manufacturers of paints, coatings and printing inks in Germany. The association is the mouthpiece for 85 percent of manufacturers of paints, coatings and printing inks in Germany. More than 200 German companies and German subsidiaries of foreign manufacturers are organized in the VdL. The structure of the member companies is heterogeneous: In addition to mostly group-affiliated and multinational companies, there is a large number of medium-sized manufacturers, many of which are family-owned.
