Wagner TF Bell 2 system simplifies high-rotation atomization

Simple high-rotation coating from Wagner with the compact package consisting of the TF Bell 2 high-rotation atomizer and the Wacon Spray control unit. It combines highly efficient high-rotation atomization with an intelligent, modular control system.
High-rotation atomization is considered the supreme discipline in surface technology. It combines particularly fine atomization with very high application efficiency and high working speed and is primarily used in series production, for example for automotive and plastic components, in wood and furniture coating or for painting glass. Despite its technical advantages, this technology was previously often reserved for high-end applications, as it required a high level of expertise from system planning to commissioning and productive operation. With the TF Bell 2 system, Wagner aims to make high-rotation atomization much more accessible. The reduced effort for setting, operation, monitoring and maintenance is aimed not only at experienced users, but also at companies working with this technology for the first time. Together with the high-rotation atomizers that are still available, a broad bell portfolio is created that also covers special applications such as 2K coatings with an integrated mixer or solutions with external charging for water-based paints.
Atomization with extremely economical air and material consumption
The core feature of the TF Bell 2 is efficient atomization with very economical air and material consumption. Depending on the material, flow rate and workpiece geometry, application efficiencies of up to 90 percent can be achieved. Newly developed air deflection rings with slot-shaped openings distribute air and material evenly and enable particularly fine atomization. The bell cup size and knurling can be specifically adapted to the workpiece shape, size and coating material, while the spray jet width can be flexibly adjusted from 80 to 800 millimetres.
High-rotation atomizer with modular architecture
The integrated high-voltage cascade with 8 watts of power covers common solvent applications as well as water-based paints with smaller paint kitchens. External cascades are available for applications with higher power requirements. Different configurations allow use in robot applications, on linear axes or even without motion technology. Thanks to the modular architecture, variants without high voltage can also be realized, for example for highly viscous materials, as well as quick conversions to airspray application. A modular valve block enables very fast color changes within a few seconds. The service-friendly design with quick-change system, easy-to-clean air deflection ring and one-piece bell plate supports reliable coating processes over the long term. The system is controlled via Wacon Spray, an intuitive user interface with a central 7-inch touchscreen, via which all relevant process parameters can be set and saved as recipes without the need for programming.
