Vulkan Inox receives Top 100 Award

Recognition at the German SME Summit: Ranga Yogeshwar congratulates the blasting media manufacturer Vulkan Inox GmbH from Hattingen on being awarded the TOP 100 seal.
In the scientific selection process of the Top 100 innovation competition, Vulkan Inox was particularly convincing in size category A (up to 50 employees) in the category "Innovation-promoting top management". Vulkan Inox specializes in the production of stainless steel-based blasting media for surface technology. The innovation-promoting top management and its team focus entirely on their niche instead of mass production and have already been able to register several patents for products and applications as a result. "Due to the size of our company, the managers usually have several functions. This means that decision-making paths are short because often only a few people need to be involved," says Managing Director Marc Hidde.
Together with André Hahn, engineer for materials technology and Head of Quality Assurance, as well as the Production Manager and the team, Hidde deals with the topic of innovation in parallel to day-to-day business. Small ideas are quickly realized in-house. For larger ideas, a project plan with milestones is drawn up instead. One example of this is the short-term and long-term measures to save gas when the energy crisis arose as a result of the Ukraine-Russia war. "This flexibility is our advantage," explains Head of Quality André Hahn. "We can work on a lot of things at the same time. The more ideas that come in, the better.
