Trumpf Fiscal Year 2025/26: Profit and Order Intake Rise

Trumpf has released its financial results for fiscal year 2025/26: Revenue came in at 4.3 billion euros, roughly on par with the previous year, while new orders rose by nearly 7 percent to 4.5 billion euros.
At the close of the 2025/26 fiscal year on June 30, 2026, the Trumpf Group reported a slight increase in revenue of 0.2 percent to 4.34 billion euros (previous year: 4.33 billion euros). After three fiscal years of declining order intake, the company once again recorded an increase in orders, rising by 6.6 percent to 4.5 billion euros (previous year: 4.2 billion euros). Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose very significantly to 480 million euros (previous year: 59 million). The EBIT margin rose to 11.1 percent, up from 1.4 percent in the previous year. Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller, Chairwoman of Trumpf’s Executive Board, said during the presentation of the financial results: “The hard work we’ve done within the company to implement necessary cost reductions and streamline our portfolio is paying off. In particular, the increase in order intake makes us optimistic about the current fiscal year, in which we expect further growth. While exercising due caution in light of global hotspots and trade restrictions, we anticipate an economic turnaround in our business. The positive trend of the past fiscal year has been clearly confirmed in the first quarter of the current 2026/27 fiscal year.”
Trumpf Sees Future Growth Areas
Trumpf sees significant opportunities in individual markets and business segments for the coming months. These include electromobility, semiconductors, and power electronics, as well as—in the machine tool sector—manufacturing technologies for equipping data centers, smart factory solutions, and services. Another area with future potential is humanoid robotics. “Overall, we expect our customers to renew their machine fleets after a prolonged period of restraint and to take advantage of our offerings in the area of connected manufacturing.” Trumpf’s largest single market in terms of revenue this fiscal year was the U.S., with 772 million euros. This represents an increase of 16.8 percent compared to the previous year. Revenue in Germany fell by 6.4 percent to 655 million euros (previous year: 700 million euros). In China, Trumpf’s largest Asian market, revenue fell by 7.4 percent to 446 million euros (previous year: 482 million euros). The Machine Tools division generated the highest revenue at 2.38 billion euros (previous year: 2.36 billion euros). The Laser Technology division reported a decline in revenue to 1.17 billion euros in the reporting year (previous year: 1.25 billion euros). Revenue in the Electronics business segment totaled 458 million euros, representing a 3.6 percent increase over the previous year (442 million euros). The EUV business segment, which supplies Trumpf’s customer ASML with high-performance lasers, increased its revenue by 9.2 percent year-over-year to 791 million euros (previous year: 724 million euros). As of June 30, 2026, Trumpf had 17,583 employees worldwide (previous year: 18,303). In Germany, the number of employees fell by 7.1 percent to 8,675 (previous year: 9,337).
